7th - 10th commandment

Okay. Before I started typing these texts, I was thinking how lame my past few posts were... So I'm going to explain the last 4 commandments so that I can go through some more elaborate topics.. :)

The seventh commandment is not to commit adultery. At first glance, it would be confusing how scriptures tells us that every one has sinned all of the commandments when many of us (myself included :D) have never slept with another person aside from his/her wife/husband, so what now? (Note that I do not have a wife YET, hahaha) Well, if you read Matthew 5:27-28, it pretty much explains it all, right? To be honest, I've been victim of this too, so don't worry if you guys are getting too guilty about thinking dirty towards the person in front of you. :D. It is however, very clear that this is adultery and very very wrong.I really thought that adultery was the commandment (along with not killing) that i wouldn't break but I guess I was wrong, lol.. :), so are you an adulterer? :D (what a terrifying question and the worst part is, you have to say yes! )

The next one is not to steal. This one, like most of the commandments, is pretty obvious, don't you think? :D. One thing to note about this one is that the value of the stolen object is irrelevant. It may have been a candy, pencil, paper or someone's heart (yeah, I'm talking to you, *#$%^*!, and God too of course, hahaha :D) as long as you took it then you're a thief... Another thing to note is that stealing is also claiming implicitly or explicitly something as your own, like plagiarism, piracy or saying the phrase: "He wouldn't mind if i take this" or "He wouldn't care if this was lost" (these are just examples, you know what I'm talking about).

To lie. It's very convenient but it's the act that the next commandment tell us not to do. Of course, everyone knows what lying is.An obvious example of lying is telling someone that you won a contest when in fact you didn't. And I'm sure you would be lying if you say that you don't lie or you don't know what are lies and not lies. :). Another thing that I want to point out is that white lies are still lies. You claim that for the good of that person, you lie and not tell him/her the truth and yet you are leaving the fact while you are saving this person the pain of knowing the truth, you are also neglecting God and hurting His feelings that you are breaking some (I say this because you would also be breaking other commandments) of His commandments. And for that, all kinds of lies or deception is accountable to this commandment. Although if you had no prior knowledge that it was a lie and you outrightly proclaimed it, then you did not lie hence the commandment which is not to bear false witness but declared something incorrectly(though it is your job to discern what is supposed to be assumed and what is to be concluded). In conclusion, you can ask your conscience what you think is a lie.. :)

There is a distinction between jealousy and envy, you know. Anyway, the next commandment tells us not to covet other people's cows. So if you don't have a cow, i suppose you can't be coveted then? :D. Getting back to the topic, everyone desires something or anything material and when someone else has it we tend to become jealous (admit it, everyday everybody is jealous of somebody even God Himself... :D). The sin is being envious of that person. Although it is very very very (ten hours later) very normal to be jealous of somebody, the moment you plot to do something bad to the person or want something to happen bad to happen to him/her or the like then that's where the sin comes. Your lust for that material, physical, spiritual or whatever it is will make you hate the person and in turn will make you sin more.

And that's the end of it. If you have comments please put them in the search box. No, I was joking. You know where to put them. :), So you got an answer for the Good Person test? Are you a good person? And if you answered no (and seriously, i know that you're gonna say no) then you might want to read my first post. So till next time! Toodles! (so gay. -.-)

5th and 6th Commandment

Hey you! If you have a minute to spare, you should read this blog. It isn't that long and you might learn something very important in life.. :)

Today's Blog is about the 5th and 6th commandments...

As you may or may not know, the two commandments are:

5th: Honor thy father and mother.
6th: Thou shalt not kill.

The 5th commandment is pretty easy to understand, don't you think? :). However, if you think about it some more, you can see that every time you sin, you also transgress this commandment. Why? Because if you sin, you secretly imply that your actions honor your parents, which does not. So honor your parents (even if they are a little over the edge.. :D)

If the last one's easy, then this one will be easier.. :D. It says: "Do not kill". An easy thing to do, right? Wrong, It is not. Everyone has sinned this one and why? Simply because everyone has hated someone at one point in their lives. Hatred towards your neighbors is sin itself. So, checkmate? :D

When you read my previous blogs about the commandments, you'll see that you've also sinned the first four commandments. I'm going to be honest with you. The final outcome of these blogs is that you'll realize that you're a sinner and in need of God but until then you might want  to answer this question...

Are you a Good Person?

3rd and 4th Commandments

Okay, if you've just started reading my blog, please take the time to read my first one which is "Hell's best kept secret". :)

So we've tackled the first two commandments and now we're on the 3rd and 4th...

3. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.
4. Remember to keep the Sabbath holy.

First of all, the third commandment is mostly literal. As in, when you say: "Oh, my god" or "Jesus Christ". It may apply when you use God's name as a curse word. Another way to use God's name in vain is to claim that He wants us to do certain things (bad things that is). Just think of yourself, if somebody used your name as a curse word, wouldn't you go all berserk? :)

To be honest, I'm not sure if everyone has broken this commandment, since if you don't know God, you can't use His name in vain, wouldn't you? Those that have never been exposed to western culture would probably be able to relate to what I am saying... :D

The next commandment is to keep the Sabbath holy. When the Bible says this, It means that we should reserve a day to not work and worship Him in that day (Though It doesn't mean that this day is the only time to worship Him). The Sabbath has been always connected to the 7th day which is Sunday, but there is no specification that it has to be Sunday, so long as we have one day in which we worship Him and not work and I'm sure everyone of us has broken this commandment... :), please share your thoughts in the comment section.

So that's that, these two commandments aren't really the most common two be broken but they are equally important as the rest of them, next time I'll be discussing the next two commandments... :D

1st and 2nd Commandments

Hi! A little busy with homework, sorry :)

So, let's get down to business. I'm going to explain the first two commandments in a way that you can understand:

1. Thou shalt not have any other gods besides me.
2. Thou shalt not make for thyself any graven image.

These two are the oldest sins in the book (Bible) and nowadays everybody thinks that this sin is dead and alive only in cults and religions that extend beyond reason. Well, if you thought that, you're wrong. I'll explain the first first (you get what I mean -_-).

Basically, without intending to insult other religions, most of the 'gods' in this world are made up, and i say this again : made up. Taking that definition, we inevitably make our own gods in our heads, thinking that 'god' wants or condones everything we do. To atheists, they make themselves their own gods (they rule their own lives).

The old testament people thought this commandment was merely about idolatry and polytheism which neighboring countries  actively worship. But please take time to read this verse:

Luke 16:13
13 “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.”

The god of your life may be your money, your love one, your family, or your money. Bottom line is that if God is not the center of your life, you are breaking this commandment and I'm sure every one of us has broken this commandment at some point in their lives.

So Conclusion? You've sinned this one. One down and 9 more to go and I'll prove that every one of us has broken every commandment in the book. :)

The next commandment, second, is to not make any graven images on earth, in the heavens and etc. People think it's the same with the 1st commandment but it's not though they are very closely related. If you broke this commandment you have probably broken the 1st Commandment too and vice versa.

At the very least it's kind of an improvement if you break this commandment (well, not really).A reason is that nowadays, people make God in their own image with their ignorance. A god that suites them, (This is kind of better because at least the one committing this sin knows about God) is what they unconsciously create so they can go on with their sinful lifestyles but they do 'believe' in God and I think that's one step closer to converting them.

For example, a person cheats on a quiz therefore, he is assuming that God allows or condones his cheating thereby making a graven image of a god that condones cheating. Technically, this commandment is so broad that almost every sin committed can be classified as breaking this commandment.

Conclusion again? You've broken this one so that's two and eight more to go...:), so tune in next week for the third and the fourth commandments.

Personal Experience #1

HellO! It's been a while since I last blogged, because I was so busy... Hopefully, you would forgive me, :) (if anyone is even reading this).

The last time I blogged (I can't remember when -_-)  I said that I would share a very intimate secret with you, readers. It's about a dream that I once had while I was very young ( possibly when I was 8 or 9 years old). Note that, I'm not one of those imbeciles who claim to be the Christ or anything. The thought of it is purely inconceivable.

There was an indent or a big hole (unclear) in the ground. There I was in somewhat slightly elevated ground. I also noticed that I was a teenager (actually I noticed this when I was 16 since I looked exactly the same as I was before... :D) . And several feet away from me was my anti thesis. Now when I say anti thesis I meant my opposite (he looked white to me -_-), I don't really get why there's two of me (dreams are always weird) but the thing is that he was laughing and I was about to get eaten by a lion or a tiger, whichever is cuter.

So when the lion ( or tiger) was about to pounce, I closed my eyes and then suddenly I saw some guy with wings (an angel maybe?) was carrying me and the guy with the tiger ( or lion )  was cursing or at least very angry anyway. I was then carried to a mountain (Mt. Sinai? you'll found out why later...). Then it came to me (I don't know how) that the guy with the wings was someone name Jesus. Now, It is important that you know that I first heard of Christ's name during my high school mostly because it was a Christian school so after this dream it didn't much have an impact to me. :D.

So moving on, He later received two stone tablets from a big hand (dreams are supposed to be weird). Now pause for a while.

By this time, you should have realized what those two stone tablets are. Oh yeah, those were the ten commandments, so now you understand why I am so close to the ten commandments. :). I do not claim to be Moses or his reincarnation (I don't want to be a plant [mosses) or anyone in the Bible though I do idolize certain people in the Bible like apostle Paul. Of course, Jesus is still my biggest idol. =)...

So that's that. I hope you appreciate this story. Only my two best friends know of this story so you'll conclude that I won't reveal who pupil03 is... hahaha

My next blogs will cover the explanation of the ten commandments, two commandments a week. And to anyone who haven't read my previous blogs, please read them and please comment!! :D
